Install on Apple Silicon

localctx requires an Apple Silicon Mac (M1 or newer) with 16 GB+ unified memory running macOS 14 Sonoma or newer.

Private Beta Install

Use the single-tester install command from your invite email (valid 14 days, up to 10 uses):

curl -fsSL https://localctx.apolloswave.com/i/<your-token> | sh
localctx activate
cd ~/code/your-repo && localctx init

Public Launch (Homebrew Tap)

brew install apolloswave/tap/localctx
cd ~/code/your-repo && localctx init

No sudo is used. Binaries are installed under ~/.localctx/app/<version>/ and symlinked to ~/.local/bin/localctx.
